On my vacation to Thailand I had the chance to snap many beautiful photos, and two of them I’ve turned into wallpapers for the iPhone. One of them is a weathered teak tree, the other one is a palm leaf.
Feel free to download them and use them as a backdrop for your iPhone. I’ll be adding more wallpapers as I dig my way through all the pictures I’ve taken.

The White Stripes would like to announce that today, February 2nd, 2011,
their band has officially ended and will make no further new recordings or perform live.The reason is not due to artistic differences or lack of wanting to continue, nor any
health issues as both Meg and Jack are feeling fine and in good health.It is for a myriad of reasons, but mostly to preserve What is beautiful and special about
the band and have it stay that way.Meg and Jack want to thank every one of their fans and admirers for the incredible
support they have given throughout the 13 plus years of the White Stripes’ intense and
incredible career.Third Man Records will continue to put out unreleased live and studio recordings from
The White Stripes in their Vault Subscription record club, as well as through regular
channels.Both Meg and Jack hope this decision isn’t met with sorrow by their fans but that it is
seen as a positive move done out of respect for the art and music that the band has
created. It is also done with the utmost respect to those fans who’ve shared in those
creations, with their feelings considered greatly.With that in mind the band have this to say:

Sometimes I wonder how the hell can something that I am completely and totally interested in, slip by and get unnoticed. Well, today while browsing the internets I stumbled across a MMORPG based in Raymond E. Feist’s Midkemian universe. Being a huge fan of Feist’s works and role-playing games in general, I couldn’t help but stare at the discovery. Having really enjoyed his books and played both BaK and RtK games (a gazillion times) I got really eager to jump into this game.
Well this is a text-based RPG, which means all you do is stare at a terminal window reading and typing in commands to interact with the game. At first I was all excited to join the game, but despite the fact that I was eager to give the text-based world a shot, I discovered just how shallow the game really was. The main thing that put me off was the very unmmaginative quests – go fetch that and bring it to me type quests. In short, that was it. I think I’ll be better off reading Feist’s novels.

I’m happy to announce that a demo mod of Chapter 1 of “Betrayal at Krondor” is available for play-testing.
Anyone who is interested should let me know and I’ll give the invite for the shared DropBox folder (you must have a DropBox account to do this).I am inviting serious play-testers to download these files to make sure the game actually works on a computer other than my own. Since this is my first module “release,” I might have forgotten to include some files or something, and I’d like things to be ready to go before posting to the Vault. Mask of the Betrayer is required.
